THE BRAND ICON PAVING THE WAY FOR TOMORROWS LEADERS
Established 1996, RAD is a mentoring, positive peer influencer, education and show event program.
Having achieved award and recognition internationally, high profile corporate ambassadorial roles have also been successfully fulfilled with the Ford Motor Company of Australia, Komatsu, Kennards Hire and the Melbourne Docklands Authority.
RAD provides opportunity for riders across Australia and internationally to earn the responsibility, prestige and reward of a team sponsored ride, with the RAD Program mentoring and supporting up-held excellent behaviour through the RAD Series of Empowerment Products, services and specialised personnel.
VOLUNTEERS GIVING BACK
Nobody within RAD is paid a salary, the complete RAD Program is powered by volunteers.
RAD is not a charity, nor a council program, nor a church and not a government funded initiative, we are simply a small group of dedicated riders each passionate, professionally skilled and committed to the RAD Creed and ‘giving back’ to this great country.

THE RAD MISSION STATEMENT
To build a positive brand icon standing for what’s right, protecting, inspiring, mentoring & supporting riders providing equal opportunity regardless of talent, ability, socio-economic background, race, physical disability or popularity.
If you’re wearing a RAD T, it means you’re on the team, being recognised as a sponsored rider.
It’s a pathway & each rider across Australia has had to earn it.
WE DO NOT
THE RAD PATHWAY
Australian riders consistently prove that they will eagerly work to earn a RAD t-shirt, of which signifies their achievement, having been officially recognised by RAD with a sponsored position.
A rider having earned a sponsored position knows the rules and the RAD Creed.
Many riders that we work with simply cannot afford to buy a RAD t-shirt and they also can’t afford to pay a $20 entry fee to a RAD Show.
RAD provides a choice, being either to behave, raise up and become RAD, or simply miss out on all the fun, brand professionalism, camaraderie and recognition.
We choose to provide the RAD Pathway to a struggling rider who has very little, rather than get $20 out of them.
HOW DO WE
Each of us here at RAD hold full-time day jobs, choosing to work RAD before work, after work and every weekend. It’s a massive commitment and it remains relentless, as we protect the Ride Against Drugs brand name, up-hold exciting RAD energy and keep winning #1 championship plates.
Getting riders to wear the Ride Against Drugs was always a ‘tough gig’, but we’ve proved it with consistency, but it’s taken our own money, with us paying our own way and digging deep every time, sacrificing our own savings and monies earned each week through our day jobs.
YES INDEED, NO FUNDING
Even with this massive body of work, proven documented success and many community leaders having seen RAD Shows with their own eyes, we have only ever received small infrequent funding support from cities and councils.
Obviously we are deeply disappointed by this outcome.
A NEW RAD LEADER IN YOUR TOWN
For the first time in our journey, we have recently added a donate button to the website with this new feature enabling a caring fellow Australian to donation $10, $20 or $50.
The donate button also allows you to specify any amount you would like to donate.
Any donation is simply utilised to manufacture more RAD Uniforms, with this being our biggest most crucial requirement.
We need to manufacture more t-shirts, caps, stickers and hoodie jumpers.
Your donation directly enables a new RAD Rider to be sponsored, mentored and positioned in a new area, this could very well be your town.
“IT’S OUR BACKYARD,
BRING ON MUCH
“Mate, nice work on what you’ve made happen with RAD, I for one think this is a solid idea and why not establish coaching mentors in our skateparks. There is obviously no place for drug dealing in skateparks but it happens, so we will definitely give you our support, wear our RAD gear and do what we can to build the movement.”
